Hindy has continuously progressed in her nursing profession, in both the Home Health and Skilled Nursing industries. In conjunction with furthering her general education and experience, she obtained certifications for home-care reimbursement and as a Wound and Ostomy certified nurse.
Her career experience includes roles as an RN in a NY Hospital, a unit-manager on a high-acuity SNF ventilator unit, and a corporate risk manager in the SNF industry. Hindy earned her credentials as a Legal Nurse Consultant from the Colorado Nurses Association, which is approved by ANCCCA.
What began as a normal Risk Management role, equipped with her knowledge, swiftly evolved into a hands-on program to mitigate claims at the facility level in real-time.
Realizing it’s value to the skilled nursing industry and as a dedicated healthcare professional, hands-on leader, and consummate innovator, Hindy founded Mitig8 Comprehensive Risk Management. A highly regarded program at the forefront of the facility-level risk management sector. She and her team of nurse consultants, working closely with a prestigious defense council firm, provide real-time feedback to detect, measure, and mitigate facility risk.
Lisa Brocky is an experienced operational leader of Acute Care, Long Term Care, Assisted Living Facilities and Medical Model Adult Day Healthcare Programs with proven operational, regulatory and quality outcomes. She brings over twenty years of healthcare experience to Mitig8 and has been a licensed nursing home administrator for over 15 years in NY and NJ.
Throughout her years in leading roles at health care facilities, Lisa has successfully propelled her facilities into pioneering roles as providers of specialty and medically complex healthcare services. She is known for her famed track record of deficiency-free surveys and for implementing process’ to improve star-ratings and compliance issues. She works closely with clients and facility teams to implement systems that improve overall quality measures, survey readiness and compliance post survey.
Steven is a senior partner at Kaufman Borgeest & Ryan LLP and licensed pharmacist, who brings over 35 years of legal experience devoted to representing and counseling health care practitioners, including, Nursing Homes, Physicians, Hospitals and Home Care providers, nationally and locally. In this capacity, he has served as both supervisory/monitoring counsel and as trial counsel, with a long track record of successfully defending clients at trial. In addition, he has lectured considerably to the healthcare and insurance industry, and regularly provides advice and in-service lectures on a range of topics pertinent to health care operators, administrators and staff on a myriad of defensive strategies to help mitigate risk and address acute/ problematic situations that can arise.
Steven has also been sought out to utilize his extensive, broad ranging background to offer insightful and new approaches to the concept of risk management, including the development and refining of software programs used in the clinical setting to report and investigate incidents, while at the same time, seeking to protect Quality Assurance privileges. In light of his national experience and reputation, among other things, Steven was invited to join the prestigious International Association of Defense Counsel.
